A listing only works on the days somebody looks at it.

A yard with an empty stable does the same thing every directory has ever asked of it: publish the space, and wait. If the right owner searches that week, in that radius, with those filters, it works. If she searched last week, it does not, and nothing about your listing tells you that she was ever there.

Meanwhile she is doing the mirror image of the same thing — three group posts, twenty open tabs, and no way of knowing which yards near her have a space at all. You are both in the same county, both looking, and the only thing standing between you is that neither of you can see the other.

   See who is moving near you

   Every discoverable owner searching within 40 miles, ranked by fit first, then by how recently they touched their profile, then by distance. Two views: all nearby, or only the ones moving soon.

   Choose the ones who suit your yard

   One at a time, by hand. There is no broadcast and no bulk send — the point is that you pick, which is also why an invitation from you reads as an invitation rather than an advert.

   It arrives as an enquiry you can answer

   Not a notification she has to act on twice. The invitation lands in her inbox as an enquiry in a thread, with your yard attached, and your reply goes in the same place.

   The Sent record tells you what happened

   Pending, seen, responded, or expired. An invitation lapses after 60 days and you can then invite that owner again — the credit is spent per owner, not per attempt.

Including what it doesn't know.

An invitation costs you one of a small number, so a card that flattered a poor match would be spending your allowance for you. Every card is built to say what it is unsure of.

• How far away they are

  Straight-line distance from your yard, and whether you fall inside the owner's OWN search radius. A card will tell you when you don't — "Outside their 10-mile search" — rather than let you spend an invitation finding out.

• How urgently they are moving

  Moving urgently, within a month, in one to three months, or just browsing. When an owner hasn't said, the card says "Timeline not set" instead of guessing on their behalf.

• What livery they want

  The types they are looking for, and how those sit against what you offer. If they want DIY and you don't do it, the card says "You offer Full / Part" on the card, before you send anything.

• What we don't know about them

  "No horse added yet." "Profile updated 3 months ago." The grid is deliberately wide, so most cards describe someone we know a little about — and the card's job is to say which is which.

What it looks like from her side.

She is in the grid because she is looking, and because she left discovery on — a setting on her own account that she can switch off at any time, which removes her from every yard’s grid at once.

Your invitation reaches her as an enquiry, in a thread, with your yard attached. She can read the listing, reply, or ignore it. She was never given your number and you were never given her surname or her email.

The allowance is a lifetime one rather than a monthly one on purpose. A monthly reset rewards sending ten every month whether or not anyone fits; a lifetime ten rewards choosing well. When it runs out, Pro removes the cap.
