About OpenStable

Finding a livery space has traditionally meant Facebook posts, word of mouth and phone calls that go unanswered — with no way to know whether a yard even has space before you reach out. OpenStable fixes that: yards publish their real availability, horse owners search and enquire directly, and equine professionals — farriers, vets, physios, saddlers, dentists and more — list the areas they cover so owners can find them by postcode.

We are the technology platform connecting the two sides. We are not a party to any livery agreement or service contract made between users — yards and professionals deal with their clients directly, and what you see listed is what the business itself has published.

OpenStable is founded, built and run by Alex Crowley, operating as a sole trader trading as OpenStable, based in Newbury, England. Every part of the platform — from the search on the homepage to the apps on the App Store and Google Play — is developed and supported directly, which means feedback goes straight to the person who can act on it.
